Clinton Cargill is a National News Visual Editor at The New York Times.
Clinton is an experienced journalist and creative leader, having been the Director of Photography at Bloomberg and the Visuals Director at Vanity Fair. Clinton was the photo editor at The New York Times Magazine since 2006, producing amazing images for covers, photo essays, and special issues, as well as video and multimedia for the Magazine online. Working closely with the NYTMag‘s legendary photo director Kathy Ryan (by magazine law, any mention of her name must be preceded by the word ‘legendary’), Clinton helped create the World Cup issue and “A Game of Shark and Minnow,” a cover story and multimedia piece that was a finalist for a National Magazine Award and was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy.
