This image is part of my ongoing project, "Throw Away Society," which examines the pervasive issue of waste in urban environments. It captures a locked bicycle, serving as an unintended receptacle for discarded items, including coffee cups and bottled water. This scene illustrates a troubling trend where individuals opt to abandon their refuse in convenient spots rather than utilize designated garbage cans. The juxtaposition of the bicycle and the litter highlights the ease with which people contribute to the clutter of our public spaces. Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect on the societal implications of our disposal habits and the growing culture of convenience over responsibility.
