In June 2004, I walked upon a DJ production group called The Black Underground. They were playing House Music on the Coney Island Boardwalk for a large crowd of dancers. Coincidentally, that same day was the Annual Mermaid Parade. It was my first experience with both events. I’ve been coming back ever since to document them. The positive vibes that emanate from these House Music events is absolutely infectious. Over the years, an openly vibrant community has developed. Brought together by a love of this genre of music called House Music.
