Thank you, Jerome De Perlinghi, Artistic Director of EOMS.
I spent three weeks as the March, 2019 Eyes on Main Street artist in residence in Wilson, NC. I drove down from Washington, DC in my little red Honda Fit with my dog, Gypsy - an irascible dachshund - terrier mix I adopted from a shelter in Ohio. I gave myself a daily ultimatum: don't return to the residence unless you make at least one picture. And aside from popping by to walk the dog, which was easy in a small town like Wilson where you can get just about anywhere in under 10 minutes, I stuck to the deal I made with myself. I met all sorts of people who kindly let me take their picture. I'm grateful for having had the opportunity to spend the time in Wilson, thanks to director and founder of the Eyes on Main Street artist in residence program, Jerome De Perlinghi.

Thank you Jerome!
