Innovation and Education Program Hosted by ICA/Boston Seaport Studio October 29 and 30

We are delighted to announce the iconic Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston's (ICA), Seaport Studio is hosting Scout's Innovation and Education Program during this year's 3-day event.

This program was envisioned to both highlight entrepreneurs addressing challenges in visual storytelling and media, and to empower students, filmmakers, and visual storytellers through a robust enrichment program.

“A robust arts education is critical to building future artists, audiences, and engaged citizens. We are honored to be working with Scout to present this film festival to Boston audiences. It is a great opportunity to amplify the work of another organization working to engage youth to make the world a better place through the arts.” - Betsy Gibbons, the ICA’s Director of Teen Programs.

About ICA/Boston

The ICA’s innovative exhibitions, performances, and educational programs provide access to contemporary art, artists, and the creative process, inviting audiences of all ages and backgrounds to participate in the excitement of new art and ideas. Opened in 2021, Seaport Studio encompasses the Teen Gallery, featuring artwork by Boston-area youth and two dedicated spaces just for youth programs; the Paul and Phyllis Fireman Family Digital Studio, part of the Charles and Fran Rodgers Education Center; and a meeting space for a range of ICA Teen Programs.

The ICA has a strong institutional commitment to teens, stemming from the recognition that teens are our future artists, leaders, and audiences. The ICA serves more than 6,000 teens each year, and the museum has emerged as a national leader in the field of museum arts education for teens. For over 20 years, the ICA has worked with young filmmakers in its award-winning program Fast Forward. Through the Teen Arts Education Hub, their goal is to serve as a central resource and network for teen arts education professionals in museums and beyond, reinventing how arts institutions work with young people nationwide.

We at Scout feel very lucky to have found a partner with truly aligned mission and goals!
