Public Project
Polaris
Polaris is an exploration of otherworldly occurrences in the wilderness of Alaska and Iceland. Polaris, the North Star, functions as a metaphor for the constancy of magic that I perceive in an environment that is otherwise in constant flux.
This series was photographed in Iceland and Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in 2013, with a large-format view camera and color film. The project was made possible by the generosity of the TC Colley Student Scholarship Award at the Rhode Island School of Design.
