Located in the east of Turkey (in the province of Sanliurfa), in ancient Mesopotamia and in one of the areas that have historically been more fertile, this temple discovered in 1994 by Klaus Schmidt completely changed the course of humanity.
Göbekli Tepe is the oldest temple ever known (it was built approximately 11,500 years ago, 6,500 years before the pyramids of Egypt) and its discoveries continue to amaze the scientists and archaeologists who are working on its excavation, because until at that time it was not believed that back then, a society with such a level of development could exist.
According to the researchers of the place, the human hunter-gatherers of the time created this great complex as a center of veneration to which people came from very remote places (as indicated in the engravings of their sculptures) and that is why in their surroundings, agriculture began to develop, in order to supply the large number of people who helped in the construction of what is currently the oldest temple ever known.
