In an ideal maternal health system, all women would have access to comprehensive, seamless medical care with links to behavioral, economic and social supports. For women in rural communities, where providers are scarce, geography can be isolating and transportation is limited, care is far from ideal. A woman’s health clinic in central Maine dedicated to sexual and reproductive care is doing its best to stand in the breach.
