Summary
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, more than 360.000 people have fled the conflict through the border of Moldova. Despite being one of the poorest country in Europe, Moldova has been the country with more reception per capita in all the continent. The vast majority of refugees end up in Moldexpo, a former exposition centre, used as a campaign hospital during Covid-19 and now one of the officials centres offered by the government. Hundreds of families stay there until they find a stable destination or until they figure out a safe way back home.
