Garrison Redd, 35, is a Paralympic powerlifter. Redd was born and raised in Brownsville, a neighborhood in eastern Brooklyn in New York City. After being struck by a stray bullet in 2005, Redd became paralyzed from the waist down. He is a Team USA Paralympic athlete. Redd has competed in several national qualifiers representing Team USA. He slightly missed the cut for the 2020 (21) Olympics. This year, he is training to qualify for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
