The flag of Haiti is red and blue organized in two horizontal bands. Created in 1803, it was adopted as early as 1820 and formalized in 1843.
The coat of arms of the Republic are: The palmist surmounted by the cap of liberty and, shading with his palms, a trophy of arms with legend: "UNION FAIT LA FORCE".
