On the streets of San Juan, Puerto Rico, hundreds of homeless people walk around in a quest for the money that they need to support their addiction. Puerto Rico’s capital is the city that generates the most economic activity in the country and during the last few years, has become a favorite spot for junkies to find money and buy their fix. So far the government has been unable to combat this social ill, and the population has grown to the point where drug addiction has become a plague.

The series La Cura, el santo pecado, shows the life of drug users that walk and live in the capital’s streets. It shows the human side that remains, despite the difficulties and prejudices that the junkies face every day.
