In the summer of 2022, I spent six weeks photographing people attending Chicago’s Argyle Street Night Market. The event draws 3,000 to 5,000 people weekly to the city’s first shared street, Argyle Street. The area has been dubbed “Asia on Argyle” and “Little Chinatown” because of the street’s Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian, Laotian and Thai businesses. In 2010, the area was entered into the National Register of Historic Places.
Faces of Argyle Street will be an exhibition of this work.
