At The Daily Orange I not only photographed daily events and created sports content but I was also apart of several longform stories and ongoing projects.
In November of 2019, Syracuse University experienced a series of racist incidents throughout the campus that caused a chain reaction of protests, sit-ins, and a call for administrative change. As a part of The Daily Orange photography staff, I covered many of the various events that happened in the weeks before the 2019 winter break and that still continue to happen to this day. These photos are just a highlight of an incredibly trying time for the SU community and show some of the incredible strength and bravery of the student body.

In November of 2020 I spent time with Angel Gonzalez as he showed me around his neighborhood and other neighborhoods in the Syracuse city area. He is very knowledgeable about all of the neighborhoods and who lives there and pointed many of them out to me on our drive around the city. I am grateful for his kindness and trust of me and my camera in neighborhoods that are very close to him. We talked a lot about the structure of the city and all of the important issues people face depending on where you live. It was a wonderful experience to meet him and his friends and family. Marnie Munez wrote an amazing article featuring Angel as well as other SU students talking about the gentrification of Syracuse and housing.

The Daily Orange Lacrosse Guide is a compilation of stories highlighting the mens and women's athletes and their upcoming season. The 2020 edition was the last big project I was a part of for The Daily Orange before the pandemic hit full force. These images are a result of photo sessions with the mens and women's team and were some of the main images for this collection of stories.
