Convergence
Summary
Convergence explores the idea of space as an abstract concept and the role of space as a confounding element where thoughts converge and diverge.I often reflect on how more spaces can become sanctuaries for creative expression, bridging the gap between false appearances and reality. To me, a space is anywhere that feels safe, transforming it into a place of value and significance.
I explore how different spaces affect me, interpreting these emotions through layers of texture, self, and natural elements. From bus stops to both open and closed environments, I investigate the power of self to shape and reclaim spaces—transforming them into meaningful places through personal negotiation and reflection.
These interactions deepen my understanding of the environment and create opportunities to open safe spaces for collaboration. These works also reflect on themes of rebirth and environmental restoration, emphasizing the importance of pausing to listen to nature. By attuning ourselves to its voice, even amidst the disruptions of climate change, we foster a deeper connection to the Earth and recognize our role in its recovery.
