About
Carlos Morales is a visual creator who uses photo and video to focus on memory, personality portraits and social issues. He was born in 1970 in Mexico City.

He studied Communicaction Sciences at the University of Monterrey and is Adobe®-Certified on After Effects and Cinema 4D. Since 2000, he has been professor of screenplay, photography, film production and television at the Universidad de Monterrey, Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey, Centro de Estudios Tecnológicos y Superiores, Centro de Estudios Universitarios Xochicalco and La Salle College International, also lecturing on these and other schools, on topics such as graphic design, art, creativity and production logistics.

As a video producer, he has a 20+ year career working for the corporate sector, developing RRHH Marketing projects for companies like British American Tobacco Mexico, Vitro, Cemex, Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc and Nike. Since 2010 he is also a videomapping producer, and has created and directed more than 20 visual spectacles in Mexico, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

He has attended master classes and workshops by filmmakers José Luis Guerin, Bruce Lane and Rubén Ortiz-Torres, and photographers Francisco Mata Rosas and Alfredo De Stéfano. He was finalist on the Expresión en Corto Festival (today FIC Guanajuato), and was awarded the First Prize on the National Contest of Shortcut Screenplay of the Mexican Institute of Cinematography.

He is based on Ensenada, México, and is part of Colectivo Tropo, a collaborative effort for the visual experimentation.
