'No Border Landscape'
The landscapes I photograph are, in my perception, exchangeable. I like to play with the thought and with my photo's that just as in the virtual world the borders are disappearing, or there are none at all. But in the real world the borders are still very clear. For landscapes there are no borders, we make them.
I want to let the viewer think they see a familiar landscape, attached to a certain place, area, country or continent. That maybe we have to cross a border to see the landscape in real. We attach images, landscapes directly in our mind to places, country's we have been or we have seen. The landscapes i'm looking for to photograph are exchangeable. They don't have a place or country attached to it, in my mind, they are borderless.
