Even with the lower than expected turnout for the campaign rally, thousands of supporters and protesters gathered throughout the day in Tulsa on Saturday. A stage was set up outside the BOK Center where Trump was planning to address an overflow crowd, but it was canceled when there were not enough attendees for him to have the speech.
Outside the event, protesters from across the political spectrum were in the streets of downtown Tulsa with groups like Black Lives Matter, the Revolutionary Communist Party, Boogaloo Boys and Proud Boys. Loud arguments could be heard all day and some small physical altercations broke out, but the day’s events were largely peaceful.
