On the 15th of February 2021, the Catalan rapper Pablo Hasel locked himself inside the University of Lleida with his colleagues to try to avoid getting arrested. At 7 a.m. the next day, police entered the university and arrested the rapper. This led to a wave of protests over multiple points in the country. Barcelona was the city where the riots were the most intense and violent. This photographic story collects the coverage I made daily for different media and tries to explain the social tension that was lived during those weeks in Barcelona, and the arrest in Lleida.

Coverage for the agencies EFE and ACN, and the digital media El Nacional. Some of these photos have been published in La Vanguardia, The Guardian, El Mundo, Diari ARA, La Razón, elDiario.es, among others.
