Good day everyone,

Yesterday, the city of Famagusta (Varosha), in Cyprus, was reopened to the public after more than 45 years of military occupation by Turkey. I have been working on a project, called Ephemera, about the division of Cyprus and the implications of the occupation for the people of this island. By following the Pedieos (Kanli Dere) river which starts on the Greek side of the island and empties into the bay of Famagusta, in the occupied North, I was able to observe life on both sides speak to people who are concerned and want this situation to come to an end.

I was a finalist for the Aftermath Grant for this project. If you have a moment, please have a look :)

Thank you all and have a great day!
