With over 18 years of experience, Emily B. Hager is a filmmaker, producer, editor, and educator, who has worked for top media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, and Novartis' One Health Studio, among others. Her areas of expertise include producing short films, explainers, and Instagram videos from ideation to the final product.

Through film and video storytelling, Hager works to inspire and develop diverse creative teams that focus on producing unique, compelling stories that offer perspective with in-depth narratives. She is also widely experienced in strategy and planning for scaling content across the digital landscape.

Hager started her career as a video journalist at The New York Times, where she spent nearly ten years and helped launch The Times' video unit. Since then, she has worked for leading newsrooms, nonprofits, and brand studios, producing and editing dozens of films that span global themes, from immigration, social-environmental justice, and healthcare.

Currently, Hager is an adjunct professor of multimedia journalism at the prestigious Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute's Online Master’s Program at New York University. She completed a BA in Earth and Environmental Science at Wesleyan University and an MA in Science Journalism from NYU.
