Protesters set fire to an Israel flag in the Plaza del Sol in Madrid. Thousands of people took to the streets this Saturday in many cities in Europe, from Madrid to London or Berlin, but also other places in the world, such as Baghdad or Tunisia, in support of the Palestinians. The protests, originally called to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe), which marks the beginning of the exodus of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians since the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, became a sign of rejection of the bombings of the Israeli army against the Gaza Strip and other military operations.
