2015 - Bronx
On May 28 in Bogota (Colombia) an operation was carried out to end the most dangerous street in the city (La calle del bronx). After the operation, approximately 3,500 homeless people were evicted and more than 500 people were prosecuted for crimes such as illegal possession of weapons, drug trafficking and prostitution of minors, consequently there is overcrowding of homeless people in various parts of the city, causing riots and increasing crime in the city.
The street in the Bronx doesn't look like it used to. After the operation to end the street in the Bronx in Bogotá, which began on Saturday May 28 and is almost over today, where 3,500 homeless people were evicted and more than 500 people were prosecuted for crimes such as illegal possession of weapons, traffic of drugs and prostitution of minors. The streets of the Bronx today are empty and the ruins of the most feared street in the city today look bleak and on its walls, in its streets, you can see the life that was lived there. The problem of ending the street in the Bronx does not end here, as there is overcrowding of homeless people in other parts of the city, causing disturbances and increasing crime in the city.
