Lamon Q. Reccord leads protesters to storm the Chicago Stock Exchange minutes after his arrest. Reccord may look familiar. He was on ABC, FOX News, and featured in the World Press Photo awards. He became the face of the movement as the “stare-down kid”. Rumors quickly circulated that Lamon was a paid protester, following the emergence of photos of him together with former Governor Pat Quinn and then Chicago Teachers’ Union president Karen Lewis. Lamon has had to battle naysayers who claim he’s a plant, a gangbanger, a bum. Hate-filled remarks and accusations clutter the comments section of his Facebook page.
