I am taking over visura.co ‘s Instagram feed this week. The first series I am sharing is « On the Threshold of a Spring »I photographed this series with my soulmate Louise A. Depaume during the first COVID-19 locked-down in France, in Bagnolet, a Parisian suburban area.Through this series, we intended to question how the relation to our neighborhood was reshaped by the pandemic. Thus, we met with neighbours that we never talked to, we explored the nature we never observed before. Torn between the pessimism and the hope of a change to come, we were standing on the threshold of a spring that ignored our health, social and economic anxieties. Here, Kadija, a caregiver, told us (14 April, 2020) that she is shocked to see hospitals end up having to call for donations and nurses protecting themselves with plastic bags. She fears that post-traumatic stress disorder will develop when the confinement will end. She would like us to think not only about repairing the economy, but more importantly, about restoring social ties between people.More about the series on my websiteA self-published book of this series is available on my e-shop
