Without arrest warrants or adherence to human rights, 18 years ago a family was flagrantly detained on charges of kidnapping, crimes against health and organized crime. Their arrest was presented as a success for the Mexican law enforcement agency. In a failed judicial system, where you are ipso facto guilty, their die was cast. The court battle of the alleged Kempes so far is ongoing. Their family members are no longer just clamoring for freedom, but for justice to be done.
