Jai Vir Rodgers, an only child to a single parent, was raised by a television on a diet of Japanese Anime and American Cartoons, amidst the Indian soaps he was subjected to by his grandparents. He eventually found the theatre and took up photography and thus spent much of his formative years cross-dressing on stage and taking family portraits at Dutch angles, much to the chagrin of his mother. In hindsight it seems inevitable that he would become a filmmaker… and a disappointment to his family.

Determined to prove the naysayers wrong, he fostered his passion for the screen arts at the New York Film Academy and honed his craft at the University of York and National Film & Television School in the UK. Once armed with a BSc in Film & TV Production Jai went on to intern at renowned production companies and ad agencies, like 42 M&P and Saatchi & Saatchi, all the whilst working across departments on commercials, music videos and award winning short films. He can currently be found on the set of the upcoming feature film 6 Underground (2019) dir. by Michael Bay and starring Ryan Reynolds.
