Joao Luis Valle

My name is Joí£o Luis de Freitas Valle and I'm 53 years old. I have been a photographer since 1994 and have already done several works, both copywriting and professionals.

As a professional work I did several portraits, still pictures of furniture and food. I did architecture photography and published several postcards and posters. In addition I own a photography school.

I created the "Other Eyes" project in 2012 to help children in poor communities in my country. However, since it is difficult to do any volunteer work in Brazil, especially without the support of the local government, I have directed my courses to the public interested in learning photography.

In 2016 I finally had a chance to partially implement the "Other Eyes" project in a community near my neighborhood. The photos I am sending to you are the result of working with the children and young people of this community.

I've won some photography awards in the past. Among them :

• 1st place Epson Brazil Award.
• 2nd place Nikon World Award (NPCI).
4th place "Amazing Moments" National Geographic Award.
