Kurdish women are an integral part of the world women's movement. They have participated in the national struggle, and have played an important role in all the changes that have taken place in our country. Kurdish women have become symbols of courage and resistance throughout the world. They have shown that women are strong and revolutionaries, not victims.
In every Kurdish household, weapons reflect the fight for freedom and justice against the oppression and coercion of the Ba'ath regime in the past to protect their dignity and stay in their homeland.
Women used weapons as the symbol of resistance and defense to prevent any unwanted situation. Throughout Kurdish history, there have been many Kurdish women with brave personalities who have become symbols of resistance and peace for Kurds and Kurdistan. Hundreds of prominent women contributed to this process of resistance and peaceful struggle
