Demo Story
There was a big house in the background of a big garden. The house was gray and old, with a lot of people dressed in white walking around the place. I was 13 and I was waiting my mother to come out of that place. I was bringing her clean clothes and foods that she liked. It is the first visit I remember about when my mother was hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic. I don't have too many memories of that time, but the feelings around it still sadden me.
Fatima is a long-term project about the everyday process of understanding and accessing my mother's imaginary; she suffers from Bipolar Disorder.
Existia uma casa grande no fundo de um grande jardim. A casa era cinza e velha, com muitas pessoas vestidas de branco caminhando em volta. Eu tinha 13 anos e estava esperando minha mãe sair daquele lugar. Trazia comigo roupas limpas e as comidas que ela gostava. Essa é a minha primeira lembrança de uma visita a minha mãe internada em uma clínica psiquiátrica. Eu não tenho muitas memórias desse tempo, mas os sentimentos relacionados a isso ainda me entristecem.Fátima é um projeto a longo prazo sobre o processo diário de entender e acessar o imaginário da minha mãe; ela sofre de Transtorno Bipolar.
