Critical Mass

A body of work is not easily created. One hit wonders abound. Promise and prodigies proliferate. So when does that sprint right out of the gate turn into the long haul? When do you realize that you signed on for the duration when you only intended to take a break from your real art life? Is it when, through accretion, the sheer number of images demands attention? I thought of myself as a painter, a draughtsman, a printmaker and designer who loved photography until pinhole pictures in the aggregate revealed my deep commitment to the medium. For the perusal of Fotovisura viewers and as my entry into the Fotovisura Grant competition, I offer these.
