Harsh Reality
This shot was taken right above the Woolsey Fire on the first day the fire broke out. Smoke plumes from the Santa Monica Mountain Range. We had quite a bit of distance between us and the fires but you could still feel the heat from the plane. Roughly 1600 structures were destroyed and just under 100,00 acres of land scorched. Fire season has become a year long event for California and despite the copious amount of rain that 2019 has received we must be ever vigilant to help prevent wildfire outbreaks.
