Out June 21 in the The New York Times my collaboration with NYT journalist Ben C. Solomon deep in the forests of eastern Thailand. We went on patrol with a group of Thai forest rangers who had just completed a training course in Ta Praya National Park.
The rangers work tirelessly in protecting, amongst other things, the remaining rosewood trees. We all owe these brave rangers a huge debt of gratitude, who undertake really hard and dangerous work to keep Thailand's forests from being even more depleted.
