Seconda settimana di aprile 2020, tutti i cittadini Italiani sono in confinamento tranne quelli che devono garantire i servizi essenziali come divulgato attraverso i dpcm del governo. Il mio progetto è semplice, preparo l’attrezzatura, salgo in auto e percorro le strade della mia città, Lecco, a nord della Lombardia, una delle regioni più colpite dai contagi di covid-19. Lungo il mio tragitto vedo i pochi negozianti aperti e i lavoratori che, applicando le regole di sicurezza per non diffondere il contagio, svolgono le proprie attività. Decido di fermarmi e di chiedere ad ognuno di loro un ritratto ambientato come testimonianza della situazione di lockdown. Nessuno si è rifiutato, anzi avevano piacere che qualcuno potesse registrare il loro "esserci" a disposizione della comunità malgrado il rischio del contagio.
Second week of April, all Italian citizens are in lockdown, with the exception of those who must guarantee the essential services disclosed by the government's dpcm. My project is simple, I prepare photographic equipment, get in the car and drives through the streets of my city, Lecco, north of Lombardy, one of the most regions affected by covid-19 infections. Along my way I see few open shopkeepers and workers who, applying the safety rules in order not to spread the infection, make their activities. I decide to stop and ask each of them for a portrait set for testimony of the lockdown situation. Nobody refused, really they were happy that someone can register their "be there" available for the community despite the risk of contagion.
