Evening Reflections: Urban Rhythm Unfolding The new head office for Bane NOR, crafted by LPO Architects, stands proudly between Schweigaards gate 33 and the bustling tracks of Oslo Central Station. This facade, kissed by the evening light, displays a mesmerizing pattern of shadows and reflections, each window narrating the dynamic pulse of urban life. It’s a canvas where functionality meets artistic expression, embodying the rhythm of a city that never sleeps, each pattern and reflection a testament to architectural ingenuity. ……… ‘ The office building at Schweigaards gate 33 has facades that are adapted to the direction of the compass in order to optimize the building's energy consumption. To the north there are large sloping glass facades that let in light, to the east and west there are bays that protect against solar radiation, and to the south the building is shielded by a double glass facade with integrated solar cells. The double-glazed facade shields the building from solar radiation, transports heat away and generates electricity for use in the building. The solar cell facade forms a graphic pattern that gives the building a unique appearance.‘ (LPO Arkitekter)
