Half-Way to the Rail Station in the Hot Summer Weather


This series is an elegy to the lives and deaths of my great-aunts who perished in the Holocaust.  The title is drawn from an essay by Virginia Woolf describing her own great-aunt, Julia Margaret Cameron in a 1926 publication of her photographs.  Schoolgirls in Rypin, Poland from the 1920's pair with storm clouds taken over Auschwitz on July 28, 2015.
