A small but vocal group gathered at Library Mall and marched to Bascom Hall on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. The rally was to call attention to the illegal detainment of Mahmoud Khalil, an activist who led student protests at Columbia University in the spring of 2024. Khalil's arrest by ICE agent comes as the Trump administration canceled $400 million worth of funding for allegedly not doing enough to stop antisemitism on its campus.
