Generation Z: “To me ...es for their future.”

Generation Z: “To me these girls are a reminder of Bermuda's untold story, and its quest to find an identity in today's current context. Its' history has often been undermined by narratives of the ‘Bermuda Triangle’, or as an elite tourist destination.
And like all communities, Bermudians are concerned about the opportunities that will be available to their future generations - like generation Z (defined as children born after the Millennials, during the mid 90's or early 2000's) - on this small island.
With a historical narrative that has been white washed for years by the post colonial narrative and thriving elite capitalist structures, Bermudians and their future generations will have to take up the baton and navigate through the legacy of Bermuda’s generational traumas, finding solutions to some of the island’s most pressing problems.
This portrait, for me, reminds me of the strength and character embodied in our young people - who we must nurture and continue to inspire with real stories of Bermuda’s history and the possibilities for their future.”
