California Lead Paint Settlement

California settled a decades long lawsuit with three former producers of lead based paint; Sherwin Williams Co., ConAgra Grocery Products Co. and NL Industries Inc. Although the companies did not admit any wrong doing, the course ruled this as a public nuisance case with a settlement of $305 million. The settlement will allow thousands of homes to be remediated, protecting future generations from the detrimental affects of lead poisoning. shot for REUTERS
