Toros de cartón y fuego
The International Fireworks Fair is held annually, continuing the tradition of rocket production and use. It began as a celebration to honor Saint John of God, the patron saint of rocket makers in the municipality of Tultepec, Estado de México, which produces approximately half of the country's fireworks. The main event began in the mid-19th century and consisted of a parade of bull-shaped structures covered with rockets, also called "toritos" which are subsequently burned.
