I am a Nairobi-based documentary photographer, using my lens to spotlight underrepresented stories rooted in humanity, resistance, and hope. Raised in Kibera, my work is deeply personal shaped by lived experience, social injustices, and the beauty woven into struggle.
My visual narratives focus on the resilience of everyday people from climate warriors working Nairobi’s dumpsites to the spirit of protest in Kenya’s Gen Z uprising, where I not only documented but also acted, helping a blind elderly woman escape tear gas. That moment, like much of my work, wasn’t just about taking the shot it was about being part of the story.
Through photography, I seek not just to inform, but to stir to hold space for dignity, memory, and change. I believe the camera is both shield and sword: it protects truth, and challenges power.
