Summary
A poetic series exploring the thresholds between presence and absence. Blurred light, empty spaces, and suspended gestures evoke mental and emotional states that resist narration—only silence and residue remain
“After the Light Fails” is a series that drifts in the space between presence and disappearance. These are not decisive moments—they are remnants. A blurred sea, an uninhabited house, an empty chair between two beds: each frame holds something that has already begun to fade. The photographs don’t narrate. They echo. They hold onto gestures, silhouettes, and absences that resist full meaning. Shot mostly at the edges of light, the images become porous, uncertain—refusing clarity or comfort.Mental health, if it surfaces, does so obliquely: in the silence of a shared table, the unresolved tension of a shadow, the fatigue etched in posture. This is not a documentation of emotion, but a field of residue—a low, persistent frequency that lingers after the visible has receded. These images don’t ask to be understood. Only to be stayed with.
