Rachel Gary is a Cultural landscape photographer based in New England.
Rachel's work focuses on telling the stories of places through portraits of the landscape, capturing the imprint of humans on geography, and exploring relationships between the built and natural worlds. Through the use of the black-and-white medium and a minimalist aesthetic, Rachel’s images explore themes of the sublime, destruction, renewal, and isolation. Above all, she is impelled to capture and express the beauty of unexpected places.
Rachel completed Graduate Studies in Geography with a focus on imagery and the identity of place.
