This series portrays the algés train station and its surroundings. A place through which thousands of commuters pass each day on their way to work and back home.
Belonging to my larger ongoing project which focuses on Lisbon's landscapes and daily life, estação depicts all the different athmospheres that collide within a place of transit. From people waiting outside the station and taking sunbaths on a nearby improvised - and polluted - beach; to old suburban upper class houses from the first half of the 20th century - now largely abandoned; to evidences of the consequence of urban development over nature.
