Summary
The Ohio Renaissance Fair, Harveysburg, OH, USA on Sun. Sept 24, 2023. Photos by Kathryn Coers Rossman.
Large festival installations with permanent sites are popping up more often in Middle America and have staying power. The Ohio Renaissance Festival runs from August to October in Harveysburg, Ohio with an annual attendance 165,000. These longer term, more substantial events attract repeat visitors within their communities along with tourists. Every weekend of the Renaissance Festival has a different theme. Event enthusiasts dress to impress, purchasing period appropriate Renaissance attire, swords, elf ears and fairy wings in bulk.
