A generation that does not have the ability to deal with boredom, being lonely, afraid or uncomfortable. They need their technical pacifiers to deal with their lives, making an already difficult process like being a teenager even harder. A whole generation that is more anxious, more fragile, more depressed, and much more uncomfortable taking risks.
As I watch documentary after documentary on the subject, I feel more fear, uncertainty, hopelessness about the world we live in. The world our kids live in. Humanity is getting more and more elusive and numbness more and more real.
Our kids are being trapped in an artificial world were they have lost their childhoods in search for this drug called the internet. They have been artificially numbed in search for technological pacifiers to calm their anxiety, depression and loneliness, all while psychologist and pharmaceuticals keep taking advantage of the situation.
