Based on personal memories and isolated fragments of experiences, such as images, sounds, smells and other physical sensations, I portray moments of my childhood and adolescence that were never recorded. In this project I re-staged scenarios taken from my memory; and with the collaboration of girls and adolescents from my community, I recreate these events of my life, using clothes and personal objects that my mother has kept with her since my childhood. Drawing on ideas and concepts from the theater of the oppressed as the theater-image, I stage thoughts and emotions of the trauma that are stored separately as frozen and barely recognizable fragments in my body. When recreating these memories, a flashback is triggered in which I am reunited with fantasies, fears, joys and with Angelica, an imaginary friend who during my childhood helped me communicate my emotions in difficult moments. Each image is a dissociative performative scene where color evokes sensations to build narratives about autobiographical postmemory.
