The Waiting
After floods in Pakistan, in sorrow they weep,
Women waiting for hope, in vigil they keep.
The waters have taken their homes and their dreams,
Yet resilience shines in the tears of their streams.
With courage, they stand, in the face of despair,
Seeking solace and strength, as they breathe in the air.
Their spirits unbroken, like the sun after rain,
They'll rebuild their lives, in the midst of the pain.
In unity and love, they'll rise from the flood,
Their resilience and grace, like a blooming lotus bud.
For hope is a flame that forever will burn,
In the hearts of these women, for whom we all yearn.
