THE BIRD KING
The Bird King
Throughout all South America, the condor is iconically acknowledged as a symbol-animal. Today, however, this majestic species has also become the symbol of the clash between conservation and mass scale agriculture. In all Latin America there is a total population of 6000 condors, and in the last two years, only in Argentina more than 150 condors were killed by use of agrochemicals. While the future of condors is more uncertain than ever, a small group of people fight against its extinction.
