Hi, my name is Artem Titeev. I’m a photographer and film director from Kyiv, Ukraine. I specialize in portrait photography.
For those who know me, I appear as a joyful and an easy-going person. However, there’s much more sadness and pain inside of me than anyone could even imagine. The photos I take are about people and intimacy of their own worries, emotions, experiences.
Photography is my personal escape. Everything that’s pictured is in its right place. This visual integrity gives me pleasure.
I take photos of ordinary people and actors with whom I have worked during the filming production.
Personalities of these people come from Soviet times. Like back then and now is very different. The only thing time has not changed is the emotions and feelings of people.
The portraits you see represent the story of sadness. They show what face this sadness can have. And each shot has the sorrow I’m very familiar with.
